Mark H Cohen, Colloquy’s founder and principal started his career in the mail room in the ad business in New York. He established Colloquy Digital as a means to apply his considerable experience in “traditional” marketing to the “new” digital customer experience – something he’s been doing for 15 years.
He believes that the new paradigm in the relationship between brand and customer can be harnessed and guided for enhanced relationships, increased revenue, and profitable growth.
The unique conversation, or colloquy, that applies to your brand – regardless of whether it is B2B or B2C, is at the heart of the solutions that you can expect to receive from Colloquy Digital.
About Mark
Ten years after his start in the mailroom, Mark’s career in traditional advertising came to a close as Executive Vice President for CCM, Inc. In those early years he was active in the industry trade group, the PMA, where he was a founding member of the NY Chapter. He also taught promotion marketing, and later, the first web marketing class at NYU’s School of Continuing Education.
In 1994, after co-producing the first concert broadcast on the web – The Rolling Stones live from Dallas, TX – he co-founded one of the first interactive marketing agencies in NY, Premiere Interactive Media. Mark sold Premiere to his partner in 1996, when he was recruited to become Janus Capital’s first Webmaster (although when he left his title was Director of E-Marketing.)
After leading Janus into the internet age, he left in 2001 and founded a digital marketing consultancy, working from his dining room table. To his great fortune, it soon became too big to handle from home. So he merged his company with his soon to be partner’s, to become Foci, LLC – which he built to the 7th largest web developer in Denver.
While running Foci, Mark graduated from the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Denver Program and directed many of Foci’s resources to the community where he provided pro-bono web marketing services to many organizations including Denver’s Road Home, The Rocky Mountain Alley Cat Alliance, and Denver SCORES.
After Foci, Mark became VP Marketing for Fetter Logic, a Denver-based software developer and consultant to the brokerage industry.
While at Fetter, Mark felt the need to get back to the interactive world. And to his great fortune, he was approached by HFI – the world’s leading user experience design consultant and strategic digital advisor to the Fortune 500 – who he joined in January of 2008.
In July of 2009, Mark founded Colloquy.
Mark is currently on the board of directors of: Adventures Within, Noah’s Ark Animal Foundation, and the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center. He resides in Fairfield, IA with his wife Laura, their son Cody, a black lab, three cats, and a pond full of fish. His daughters Erin and Lindsay are attending Colorado State University and Portland State University respectively.
